code 0198 high volt oil temp

Does anybody have any info on trouble shooting a code 0198 on a 01 3.ol ? The light has been on and the code is a 0198. I was told the possible cause is wrong oil. been using M1 forever and in another 3.0 2001 with out any problems . Is the most probable cause the oil temp sensor?
