Need some help with the CD Changer

Hello, I am not sure what happened with my last post, however, it looks like I am having bad luck all the way around.

I swapped out my BMW Changer with a BMW MP CD changer. Once I installed the new CD changer, I noticed an issue. If I don't turn off the radio/Navigation, before I shut my car off, then next time I turn my car on, the system doesn't recognize my CD changer. I have to turn off the radio, turn off the car, wait few seconds. Turn the car back on, turn the radio on and only then will it recognize the CD changer. Any advice, do I need to make sure that I turn the radio off, unplug everything, and replug everything... .is there a programming glitch somewhere?
