Changes from Year to Year

Awhile back, I saw a thread that detailed all of the changes from year to year. I am looking at an X5 4.8, but it is a 2004. I have a 2006 on order, so I wanted to know what I would be giving up if I opted for the 2004.

Thank you.

The only change I can think of from a 2004 to a 2005 is the 2005 will have the Bluetooth module installed. In order to get BT the 2004 would have to have a 2005 module installed.

Not really. Swapping the Assist/BT module is about a 20 minute job, and you'll need to have the vehicle recoded at the dealer once the new module is installed.

If you don't have a BT phone and don't care about this feature then you wouldn't have to do anything at all

Pano roof I believe was introduced in April 2004, so only the early 2004's didn't have this feature.
