BMW Splash Screen
I have been having some weird things going on with my splash screen. Sometimes when I open the driver door it appears, and others it does not. My dealer doesn't really know why this is happening (and to them it is obviously not a priority on fixing it). Also, I do know that there is a time component for this to appear, but I am talking about this not showing up well after the car has been off and locked for a couple hours. I happened to be at another dealer and they said that it isn't even supposed to show up (which I think is completely false). Anyway, do you guys have any suggestions on how to get this fixed? I think it looks neat but obviously it is not the greatest priority. Also, what is considered to be the NORMAL operation/appearance of the splash screen/logo since it seems the dealer isn't sure? Thanks! |

I believe it depends on how long it takes you to open the door from when you remotely unlock the car

More often than not, the service writers you speak with dont even drive a
bmw and know less about your car than you. Perform a series of tests and find out for certain rather than just leaving it up to the dealer for a definitive answer. |

My MK IV will show splash after unlock, dont have to open dor. What you nead to think about is that MK IV neads to turn it self off before it will show splash (that happens aprox. 15min after locking car)
