F@!kin' Dent!!!!!! (Dent Pics)

So my friend decided to take a nice big jump on my hood and left a dent that the repair shop wants 2300 dollars to fix because they say that they have to replace the hood because if they bump it out and bondo it it the bondo will just crack. Then they have to put the new hood on and paint it to match the rest of the body. The repair shop wanted a grand to do the bondo option but they thought it was worthless as i said before. I would post a pic but they dont really show it well. Idk what to do. I dont want to have to have my friend pay 2300 bucks. Anyone got any ideas? I will try to get a pic tomorrow.
I thought of maybe a salvage yard getting a good hood off one of the rear ended x5's. Mine is a 2003 black 4.4.
