guess who's back, back again... tell a friend...

x5 4.4 baby... rock on... should be picking it up later today if the deal goes through as planned... right now, 90% sure...

more details later... but in short, the hayaku 06 race season has been postponed to 07 or so and that means no dedicated race car hauler. instead need another baby hauler...

i guess this means you guys want more diy articles huh?

its official... 02 steel gray 4.4 with nav, premium, sport, cpo is in the garage... i'm practically swapping the boxster s for this car so wanted to get used... i like my cars paid for, lol. i like the style of the old look and steering wheel better personally.

everything checked out really well... very nicely kept by previous lease owner. engine revs smooth and strong. been awhile since i drove an x5... not quite the feedback i'm used to in the 2 porsches, but its a nice comfy ride for a change.

no pics yet, had to go to a halloween party after delivery... glad i still had the oem back seat covers... put them on already...

first order of business is the hitch install to bring my race car home... ya'll want another diy article of the hitch install or are the ones we have here enough?

figure i'll have to do a full fluid flush pretty soon (brakes, coolant, tranny, diffy's)... control arms and endlinks still pretty snug and tight... i'll have to get the full dealer report later tomorrow...

the boss is all smiles now that she once again has an x5... =)

Welcome back and welcome to the Steel Gray club. All the cool kids have Steel Gray X5's.

Man, if I had the time I'd love to come down to your new crib and change out my tranny fluid too. Is 50K too soon? This lifetime fill BS scares me but I think doing it at 50K might be too early. Hayaku? My dealer is supposed to do my Inspection II before I go out of warranty.
