Headlight protective film.

I spent a few hours with some fine grit sandpaper and a Porter Cable polisher and got my 03' headlights looking pretty nice and clear again, so I am thinking of covering them in Lamin-x or some other protective film. Is there a product available for a good price that you guys have had good experience with? Looking for a DIY install.

Thanks!

You could try Bavarian Autosport. They have some covers for what appears to be a reasonable price. I have no personal experience with the covers themselves, but I have purchased many items from them.

I did the 3M film. Very easy to apply, and has held up nicely for 2.5 years on my vehicle.

I use the LampGard product on all my vehicles including my X5. It's 3M film and is very easy to apply to an X5. it can be a real bear on other headlights with compound curved surfaces...like my damn Honda Odyssey. Holds up extremely well. Here's the link:
