Steering wheel fitment

Hi all, I found this steering wheel with air bag on eBay and I am very interested on this item. Does anyone know if it fits my 2001 made 4.4i X5? Currently my X is equipped with sport steering wheel without heat function. Thanks for any help!

yes, a member here has it on. it should work. However, he seller has negative feedback and the item is not covered by paypal. I wouldn't do it if i were you, i would wait for a good reputation and full coverage kinda guy.

I bought the same steering wheel from another German seller for 175EURO and the airbag (used) from a US supplier for 300$...for the Airbag I had to wait for a month to find one (at a descent price)
If the auction closes below 300EURO, it's a good deal.

Most German sellers on EBAY don't use PayPal, to avoid commission, they prefer Bank transfers, this shouldn't scare you.
I don't see a reason NOT TO TRUST this guy, 169 positive feedback!!!

PS. Sold my old steering wheel (4spoke) with airbag, after replacement, for $320, so costs can get lower...

Not all german sellers are bad, dont get me wrong. I have dealt with a couple before for large items, and i got them. What i am saying is, its better to have peace of mind by purchasing an item covered by paypal. Any sellers can be blocked and have their account suspended anytime, and if you are not covered, seller can walk away just like that with your money, especially overseas sellers. You might get your money back but you have to go through hassles, and its ugly.

Even ebay recommends transactions within the coverage area. 169 feedbacks is nothing especially with negative ones. Even 100% with 500 can go crazy anytime. What if something happens to seller, died or whatever reason? What happens to your money? Whatever they post here saying, "you should be fine, he's got 169 feedbacks so you should be good" CANNOT help you, or comfort you when those things happen. Its not the seller its the circumstances, and having a written protection protects you in any way. So dont do it man if i were you, trust me and check my feedback on ebay, i have been doing it for years and have seen everything when its ugly. Unless you guys who posted thats its okay to buy it can guarantee rogerkiu and would pay for his loss just in case?

Please check ebay guidelines, they specifically said below and rogerkiu, you might want to consider it as well:

What to avoid
  • Paying with instant money transfer services such as Western Union and MoneyGram that send cash instantly from storefront locations, by telephone and over the Internet. If your seller insists on using only these payment options, report to eBay
  • Transactions where the seller only accepts cash.
