What a difference a new steering wheel makes!!!

Broke down and bought a new sport steering wheel for the X. All I can say is wow!!! She's even thicker than the ///M wheel I have for the 330i. Here are a few pics...

Where did you find the steering wheel?

I ordered the steering wheel (P/N 32 30 3 448 451) from Tischer BMW (www.mileoneparts.com) for $360.00 shipped.

I bought the airbag (new) from Ebay for $383. A little pricey for the combo, but in my eyes, well worth it! Hopefully, I can recoup some dough for my old steering wheel/airbag combo.

Nice mod. The leather on that wheel is also very good. Someone is selling this wheel in BMW parts for sale forum here.

you my friend have inspired me to do this! lol...i just got JayX's wheel from this page (http://www.xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-items...ing-wheel.html) exactly the same type but with SSG paddles (which i have been looking for for such a long time), and just bought the airbag today as well, so will post up pics when installed.

The hardest part is waiting for the parts to arrive. If I had a steptragic...I mean a steptronic gearbox, I would have done the same. I would love to swap out the gearshift knob for a knob out of a Z4 (it's weighted too). We'll see next payday.

Waiting to see pics.
