Passengers side mirror

I just got my 2000 X5 a couple of weeks ago and I am stoked...not a bad car for a 19 year old...Anyways the passenger side view mirror is not adjusting at all, the drivers side adjusts just fine but no luck on the passenger side. Any suggestions?

Move the selector switch by the toggle button you used to move the drivers side mirror, it should move to the right.

Try the mirror itself, sometime it's locked. just push it a little then try it again.

No real luck there either...I guess I'll just have to take it down to the BMW guy here in town. Thanks for the ideas though.

19!!! geez... congrats man.. I think I had an 82 toyota supra when I was 19, but at 21 I got a brand new pathfinder :-D

:xoutpost: ENJOY THE X.. Also try to find a referral for an indie mechanic, sometimes the dealer will charge you an arm and a leg just to inspect the vehicle, and make a bunch of other suggestions of what the vehicle needs. Not sure how much u know about cars, or your BMW - but the Service Advisors can smell blood. See if anyone here knows a good indie mechanic in your area that does German cars (Benz, VW, BMW etc)

good luck.

Thanks, it is quite an upgrade from my 1995 Mitsubishi Montero with 295000 miles...amazing how easy it is to pick up girls now.

We have a guy here in Wichita that used to work at the dealership but now has his own place. He is a BMW only mechanic and has all these plaques on his wall from BMW, my dad says he is a master mechanic or something and has to go to Germany once a year to maintain his certification. He has done great work on my mom's 740il and my sister's 330.
