Question iPod unlocked with Dice Silverline?

Hey, I'm looking to buy an ipod integration kit and I think I have narrowed it down to the dice silverline... but I have a question that I have found conflicting answers too. I have a NAV X5 and I want to be able to use the iPod pick songs ect because I think using the nav is confusing because I have about 65gigs of music. On EAS it says "allowing the iPod to remain in "iPod UI" allows for a basic operation of the iPod's Clickwheel and can be switched to Enhanced DICE mode at any time." I find that confusing, can I control my ipod using the clickwheel? thanks!

I recently installed the silverline. I believe there is a way to set it so the click wheel only works, but you will not have any of your radio controls available. I have about 40 gig on my ipod, the interface works well with the ipod. You can search through playlists, artists, albums, etc. It is a little slower than with the clickwheel, but over all, it works well.

Thanks. I have another qustion. I was watching a YouTube video of a guy using the dice silverline in his NAV X5, if he had the nav screen up and changed tracks it would take him to the dice screen and then he would have to go back to the NAV screen everytime. Is there any way to be able to change tracks while the nav screen stays up?

Oh and BTW not sure if this matters but my iPod is a 5th generation video, not a classic.

If you use the steering wheel controls, it will stay on the nav screen, if you use the radio track up/down, it will go to the dice screen. Also, I had to set it back up for displaying text when using controls on the radio.

Simple UI mode is essentially Previous/Next and Fast Forward/Rewind features only. No text display or other features are available in this mode.
