Removing Kidney Grills

Before I break anything, can someone tell me how to remove the kidney grills?

I saw that DIY but it does not show how do remove them, do they come apart in 2 pieces?

See the clips in the 5th picture (shown closer in the 8th picture). They are the clips, there are 8 of them on each grill. They pull apart.
