2000 X5 4,4i Engine sound
I recently purchased my X5 and i have noticed that once the engine is running at normal temperature it makes a strange knocking sound almost like a diesel. You can only hear it if you turn of the A/C and stand still with the car. Is this normal? The frequency of the sound follows the engines rpm. Thanks! Alveus |

if it is just a little, then it is normal. if it sounds loudly, check engine belt or puley.
