My best guess is the window regulator went kaput. When my RF regulator first went I was also able to put the window down but not back up. Shortly thereafter I couldn't do either. See http://www.xoutpost.com/articles.php?...ticle&artid=75 for a DIY to replace it.

not the regulator...
i did my own diy mod on both front regs and they are flawless (carefully drilled 2 holes, then fitted bolt and nut where the broken plastic was, which was preventing roll-up when all the way down.) still looking for solution! anyone in marin/sonoma co? i'd love to try swapping out both the left and rt switches, one at a time, to see if it might be one of these!

To test the switch, you need a voltmeter. While switch is hooked up, check if there is any current pass thru. 1 probe to one of the leg, the other probe to chassis. do it 1 at a time. If you already know that, forget what I said. Good luck
