I am looking to buy this one. Any ideas?

Despite the risk of the notorious tranny failure, I am about to pull the trigger for 2001 X5 4.4i, SP, PP, CWP, very well maintained. For a sanity check, can anyone run a carfax for me? I'd very much appreciate that!

Some where in X5 World it is stated that members are not allowed to do that as it violates Carfax use rights. Good luck with your purchase. By the way, how many miles and how much $$?

Doesn't a CarFax report only cost $25? These cars cost tens of thousands of dollars. I don't understand the original post...

what's up with the vin?

I recall there being some discussion as to why some X5s are reported to have been built in Germany.

What do you think about this one? Higher mileage but priced accordingly. I will check it out in a couple of days in person.

Also, please let me know if you are selling your X5, 4.6is. Let's talk!
