Question Getting an X-5 & Got a New Dog- HELP

Hi everyone. I'm new to the board. About to buy a fabulous 2004 X5. I'd like to keep my dogs in the back to keep the car as nice as possible. I've seen in some cars that folks put some sort of metal fence like structure to keep the dogs from the main part of the car. I have not seen this mentioned anywhere in all my BWM searches. Anyone got any ideas?

Also, on the dirty subject, those of you with kids, do you put something protective under the car seat to keep the leather nice?

I can't wait to toss my Volvo for my BMW!!!

Check the X5 accessories catalogue. You can download one from the X5 world main page. (It's the latest one that BMW made available) See page 31
