1 click sound from front when I apply brakes

Hi, Got 39,000miles on clock of 3.0d, and recently I get a click noise when braking to come to a stop (even in my very tight driveway so basically rolling along under 5mph to come to a stop)....no shake in steering when I brake or drive on the highway or click.clunk when turning but only when I tap slightly on the brakes. It is only audible once so brake click and then I stop, audible with windows down only....any ideas?it passed the bi-annual vehicle examination a couple of weeks back but have no idea if issue existed then, is the 'condition' dangerous?

Did you change the brake pads recently? Sometimes new pads don't quite fit the carriers exactly and have a little play, especially after market ones. When you apply the brakes they click when as they slide up the carrier and close the gap.
