NEED HELP NOW with instrument cluster

Hi every one!

I really need help now with my x5 4.4 2003
My instrument panel /cluster had few pixel s that was dead . So i bought a new instrument from bmw. I just unplugged the old instrument ( it just have 3 cables . One black , one Blue and one white) , and plugged the new instrument at the same way as the old one was plugged.
Now to the problem, the new instrument panel just light up . when i start the car the km/h and rpm thing don´t move . Fuel o meter don´t work either.
So the whole thing don´t work PLZZZZ help meeee

Did you disconnect the battery prior to install?

hmmm. Are the instrument cluster lights working? Check fuse and try again.

The lights is fine. but when i drive the car the speed o meter don´t move nothings move , but all lights work ... the fuse is okej .. i will now go out and unplug the battery and test again maybe helps.
Do i maybe need to code it?

I hate to tell you this but i believe BMW was changing those out with or without a warranty because of a recall. Someone else can correct me if i'm wrong but there have been a number of post about this issue.

I don´t think that the instrument cluster is dead ...

If the retry doesnt work, see if the old unit will still function. That way you can diagnose that the new unit is faulty.

The old one still works .. i´m going out to tray to unplug the battery then se if it will work .. back in 30 minutes ... hope that you can wait and help me

It dosn't have to be dead. Some of the pixels just have to be out that's it.
