ECU reprogram for LESS power - better fuel economy

Is there a company that offers this reprogram option?

I find my 4.4i way to powerful for me most times. It would be nice if it could be repogrammed to be tamer and less fuel hungry. And when I want all that power, I can just switch to sports mode. Haven't seen a company that offers this yet.

There are a few companies tht will offer eco tuning just google it..
Eco tuning wil not make your 4,4 less powerfull, but more, not mutch more in HP but more in torqe, so you will get about 10% better fuel efficency if yo dont put peddal to the metal and use extra power you have

10% isn't that much of a difference. Like it the way it is.

that would be 10% saving gas, as for the power and tourq, it would increase about 5% in HP and 10% torqe, you could almost get your 4,4 to go as 4,6is.
Anyways with the gas price that we have in EU, and me driving 20.000/year it would take me 1½ year before i start making any money by having the chip

I remember a gmc or chevy truck that switched from 8 to 4 cylinders when you didn't need the power. Better fuel economy with 4, but less reliability.(GMC/ Chevy)

Almost all the American manufacturers have this ability now on their trucks and SUV's as an option (cylinder management, deactivation, etc) and even some Japanese cars. I have never heard of this reducing reliability.
