I installed these
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/AUTHE...mZ360038357347
to match my aftermarket HIDs
They look cool (and give enough light!)

Do you mean the high beam lights when they are on in that function or when they serve as daylight running lights with the headlights off?

I believe he means the daytime running lights- he said "driving lights" - thats my assumption.

I am looking for some xenon white DRL as well. Or, thinking about asking the dealer to disable them. I believe zerocheif mentioned he did that.

If it is indeed the DRl's then either live with their color as it is a product of their operation or have them switched off. There is no way to cure the "problem" without major mods.

And also as Zulu95 posted, the running lights of the high beams will always apear to be dull, I tried to accomplish this as well and without doing major mods, I found my best option was to have the dealer program them to stay off.. it was a painless ordeal, the dealer was able to let me choose from a small hand full of options, ie, seat memory, running lights, automatic door locks.. just to name a few... the process took all of about 15 minutes..

meaning while you were there you chose what you wanted turned off etc? seat memory is a pain sometimes... how much did they charge you?

yes, once my X was hooked up to the the computer, my service adviser asked if i wanted the service lights on while driving, I told him not unless I turn them on, he said "ok" punched a few keys, " and when you hit the unlock button with your wifes keys do you want it automaticaly move to her positions? I said yes, he punched a few keys... and so on...They did not charge me for this.... they even gave me a coke while I waited... Swope BMW, Louisville KY, I have only lived in KY for a few months and did not buy my X there, however I have had them do my services, and they did replace a shift module and updated the software on my tranny just a few weeks before I had them change my settings, I had them change the door locks, so they would lock when I put it into drive, also, turn off my daytime running lights, and set the power seats to recognize both keys..(I will also add that when I bought the car in Germany I had my dealer over there do the same for me.) when they did the control module and software update they set the settings to what I would guess was the "basic" or 'factory" settings.. hence the reason I had to go back and have them set them to thier current state... Was any of this helpful? or am I just rambling on enjoying my "Monster" energy rush...
