I dont' remember where I heard it from (could be B.S.), but someone once told me about a Jeep Cherokee they purchased that had something that kept rattling around underneath. They searched for years trying to figure out what it was. I don't remember how they found it, but someone at the factory had taken a golf-ball, and placed it in one of the frame rails during manufacturing. On the golf-ball, it was written "Hard to find, eh?". oh:

Like I said, this could be B.S., but it makes for a nice laugh.

About a month ago we found our body shop guy's cell phone in my mom's 7 after he did some work on it right on top of the headlight assembly...funny thing is it rested on there for 3 months.

I bet many of us have gone digging in that area for one reason or another... My total excavation story centers around two glass bottles of milk slamming against each other on the way home from the grocery store.

Milk in the carpet, liner, on the spare tire, on the audio system, on the battery, in the body well.... 4 hours later and EVERY component removed. I was all clean and dry once again.

It's good to go digging every once in a while. Kinda gives you the same feeling as a DIY mod.

Oh snap! I thought I was the only one driving my wife crazy when I did this. I am not the only one in this planet who does this...

Great to hear that most of you are as anal as me concering our Bimmers. Not certain what the screwdrivers were doing there in first place, but my first guess is the previous owner had a changer intalled as it's not mentioned on the new car tag. It's all I can think about right now - driving down the road with NOT A SOUND other than the exhaust rumbling and the engine roaring!!! BTW, my wife thinks I'm insane too but now wants me to tackle her 04 Chevy Tahoe for the many, many rattles it has! No way!

Take care everyone!

Jeff
