Vredestein Tires

EVeryone decides to get the infamous toyo tires for there 20 inch setup. What about vredestein? They cost about 100 dollars more and they look nicer with the rim shoulder and there tread design. Has anyone read reviews pertaining to these vredestein sessanta tire. I do know they are summer tires but I wonder how they compare to the advans and michi's performance and tread life.

I bought these for my X5, I think that they perform great. They have a really unique thread pattern that really stands out and looks really cool. They get a lot of looks. I have only had them for about 8months now but I am satisfied with them. They hold like "a cat on shag carpet" even in the rain. To me them don't seem loud at all, but i never ride with the windows down (I live in Houston, humidity rain heat etc.)

I know Vredestein uses Giugiaro to help design their tread... so they better look good.

Don't know whether it says a lot about the tire itself though.. I for one don't think aesthetics should be the first priority in tread design...

with this statement.

I am also stumped. I have never heard of this brand before and I consider myself a car person. I would personally go with another well known brand. The whole designer tire thing makes me think they are worried more about looks than performance.

They are based in the Netherlands and have developed a decent
rep for winter tires here in North America. Looks like they have
a group of Summer and SUV tires now, too.

I see them alot on ebay and was intrigued by them as well. It seems that they can fit porsche and rovers i think.

I'm glad that someone has tried them and likes them...

I ran Vredestein on my '75 280Z. A great tire! Exellent wet weather traction with very good dry pavement wear & traction. Wondered if they were still around. It's been awhile since I've needed a performance tire. (drove Broncos '79-'01) If you are running 4 identical tires, I can give a thumbs up for this brand.

Had mine mounted about 2 weeks ago. All 4 mounted and balanced were 860.00. Figured price couldn't be beat. So far quite impressed by the tire. Great handling in the rain, quiet people definately notice the tread pattern.
