disable arm/disarm sound

Anyone know a way to disable the arm/disarm confirmation chirp besides going to the stealership, they want $125 to program it plus leave the car the whole day cause thats how long it takes to do. whatever.
Do independent bmw specialist have the tools to access the programing or is it a dealer only thing? If it is then is there another way around this by disconnecting a wire without affecting the alarms regular function.
hopefully someone has some insight to this question.
thanks!

It takes about 5 min for the dealer to do this, they have to hook the car to DIS, and remove that car memory item.
I am not sure but independent dealet wit carsoft should be able to do some car programing, not shure about this function.

And if you have to take it to the dealer, go over all the key and car memory functions and se what you wand to be enabled, it will cost you the same
