blown mirror light

has anyone had the lights go on the side folding mirror....looks like the whole mirror need to be opened to change the bulb or so...

pls advise

i remember reading this a couple of days ago. you have to take apart the mirror assembly but you don't have to remove the arm.

BMW's service manual TIS (Technical Information System). I bought 7 CD's (including all kinds of manuals) on ebay for about $15. Well worth it I think.

steel....I'm wondering if the TIS mentions what type of bulb the side view mirror lights are? I'm thinking about changing them to a Xenon or LED light to try and get that look that a lot of the new BMWs have and don't want to open the housing to find out. Thanks.
