Treo 650

Has anyone been able to use the TREO 650 (or 600) with their 05 X5. BMW says it isn't compatible, but I have received conflicting info.

Bobbie,
I have been about to pull my hair out trying to get a straight answer out of
BMW/treo or cingular. Many people have had good luck in the 7 series &
5 series but I have yet to find anyone on a X5. My treo reboots everytime
it try to connet to the x5. If you find anthing out I would appreciate a update. I have some people working on it also & will let you know if anyone
has any solutions.
Craig

I bought a Cingular Treo 650 this past weekend. I haven’t had a problem with ~25 calls since it was paired with the car. Did you install the Cingular carkit update?

I got a Cingular Treo 650 as well, and it is one of the buggiest pieces of hardware I have ever had the displeasure of owning. It constantly resets itself, whether in PDA use or in the middle of a phone call. I haven't bothered to pair it with my X5 because I am in Florida on business. I bought the thing thinking it would make my life easier. Yuck. It makes my V710 seem like a real winner! Only 29 more days to decide how much I hate this thing.

Did you download the latest Cingular update (1.04) from Palm? It is supposed to resolve a conflict with a particular batch of SIM cards that caused resets on the 650.
