Need help from 2000 X5 Owner w/NAV, please!

Can someone with a 2000 X5 w/NAV please check the compartment under their spare tire for the presence of a video module?

I have a 2000 X5 4.4i w/stock MKII CD GPS and 4:3 bordmonitor.

It looks like mine has been removed, but maybe this model does not have them??

The video module/TV tuner was not a US option. Unless retrofitted, this will not be present.

All video processing is performed via the NAV computer.

Thank you - so either my Nav computer needs a newer OS for 16:9 operaton, or it is broken, or the 16:9 bordmonitor itself is broken.

This is the answer I have been looking for lol.

I answerd one of your other treads regarding this..
I dont think that it has support for 16:9 screan, it maybe should show picture in 4:3, but since you have issues, it just might be it, it is not compatible

sounds to me like it might be the MKII... what were the symptoms that made you think that the original 4:3 display was faulty?

Screen completely black and blank, no illumination at all.
