What's that part of the bumper called?

OK, I am new to forums, posting, and all that, so if I am in the wrong place, I apologize.

My question is probably going to sound stupid, but I just don't know.

What is the part of the front bumper, at the bottom where the smaller openings are (no, not the main Kidney grille).

The reason is that I had seen some chrome inserts for them, but I don't know what it is called to search for them. So if someone has seen these pieces, I'd appreciate that info too.

BTW, this is a great forum, tons of awesome info. This forum is the reason I chose my X5 in the first place. (I read about how awesome they were, and had to get one!)

again, thanks in advance

JST2878,

I agree, I can't stand all the chrome that most people put on their cars, that's why I liked the subtle little bit of chrome on the bottom of the bumper. A little goes a long way.

thanks

I grew up in OKC, left for Europe for 7 years, and came back a few years ago. Lets see some specs on your X5 !

It's an 02 4.4i, with Sport and Premium packages. It has the cool 'Y spoke' 19 inch wheels (I don't know the correct name for them). Silver with light grey interior.

I haven't done any mods to it yet, can't figure out what to do first. Suggestions? I am more into performance than exterior crap and lights, etc.
