Radar Detectors

Already, so I wanna get a radar detector. While I've never been pulled over in my province for the past 3-4 years, when I do the radar detector will certain be worth the fine. Anyone know of any cool ones which tell you where the cop is? None the less, it would be used for educational purposes.

A GPS System/Radar dectator would be best but I doubt they exist.

The radar detectors that most people use are either a Valentine 1 or an Escort Passort 8500. Both are really good at what they do.

GPS radar systems do exist, the passport 9500 has a GPS chip in it so it registers where there is a shopping mall or something that gives a lot of false positives so after a while it stops doing it

Valentine 1 tells you which direction the cop is in and how many of them...V1 is the best on the market. then the Escort...

I run a Escort 8500 X50 and Escort 9500i

I would say any of thoes 2 Plus the Bell STI or V1 and you can not go wrong.

I am a fan of the GPS anti-falsing with the 9500i.

Some good reading if you wish: http://www.radardetector.net

If you are looking for a Laser jammer check out the LPP

I have been a V1 fan but am slowly comming around to the Escort 9500 beacause of the GPS feature. You can't really go wrong with the V1 or the Escort for radar detection. However, not to beat a dead horse, but a jammer is the only really good protection against laser guns.

Look at this thread http://www.xoutpost.com/lounge/45027-...?highlight=nyc

Cops are now using laser and detectors don't help unless you have a laser jammer.

Cops have been using laser around here for years, but there's still far more radar (K and Ka band) in use...including photo radar. My Escort 8500 X50 has been an awesome performer. Agreed that laser is almost impossible to beat w/o a jammer, but I've had a few laser warnings from scatter off lead cars which helped me out.
