H1 Blub Question

I have a 2006 X5 and I want to replace my H1 bulbs to be brighter (not yellow). Right now they are 12v 55w H1, is there another option with out having to make any mods or ordering?

Thanks in advance

not yellow does not mean brighter.

You can swap a "xenon look" bulb in there, but it will lost output as it's a coated bulb. Only option for more brightness is to swap in facelift xenon headlights, or cut yours open and retrofit a proper xenon projector.

If you want the "whiter look" though, just get Bimmian Xenesis bulbs or ECS Tuning's Ziza bulbs, they will give the look, just not increased brightness.

Thanks for the info. Are there any other options that you know of that do not include ordering or mods? I'm pretty much looking to go to an auto store and switch out the blub but I want it to be white not yellow.

So then go to the auto parts store and buy Sylvania Silverstar or some other "white looking" bulb, i'm sure the guys there can help you out picking a pair.

The following thread should be helpful: http://www.xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-foru...eadlights.html
Scroll to the color chart that will guide you from yellow to white bulbs.

Thanks guys, I was able to get what I was looking for. Do either of you know if this bulb can be used to replace my low beams?

Do you have factory xenons? 90 percent of Philips on amazon are fakes, if you want genuine ill post up a link as i was just helping another member with that 2 days ago

EDIT: The Amazon link looks like they sell Genuine, but just to be sure, I'd order my bulbs from here (I just bought a pair and they are def genuine!)

Philips D2S (85122) - HIDbulbsRus

If you have factory Xenon then D2S is the bulb you need!

I suggest you call the guys at rallylights dot com, great source for automotive lighting. They show 9 options in the H1 size:

I do have factory Xenons so I do need the D2S bulb. Thanks for the info I will order from them. I have had one replaced and the was like $250 and I was pissed so when the other one went out I knew there had to be another way. They are just trying to steal my money lol.

How long did it take for you to get the shipment, about a week?
