Get the Axxis Deluxe brake pads. Mine have a little squeaking to them but the difference in brake dust is AMAZING!!!! I could have probably put a bit more anti-squeal on the backs of the pads though....
I put SP rotors on the front of my X5 and I am quite happy with them: http://www.raceshopper.com/sp_rotors.shtml There are also a few sellers of drilled 4.6 rotors on Ebay...... |

A lot of the sellers of X5 rotors do not have them for the 4.6is.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/02-03...spagenameZWD1V These look decent and the holes seems to be countersunk and not just drilled straight down. I would check to make sure thay are vented. I would ask if you could buy them without the pads so you can get the Axxis Deluxe. FYI the SP rotors I bought were about $235 shipped for two drilled fronts with their standard non-nickel coating. (Definitely check with SP regarding price and availability. They sell a nice product!!) At that point in time they did not have the rears in stock so I went OEM for the rears. I painted the set of OEM rears with VHT silver paint and after a few thousand miles they still look great! |
