Rear Bumper/Fender fitting ?

Apologies if this has been asked before.

My rear (X5's) rear fits perfectly at the weel arches bit the gap between fender and bodywork increases as it gets to the rear of the car. So that under the tail gate there is a gap that lloks bigger than it should do. Consequently the exhaust tips sit to close to the top of the fender.

Can I adjust this easily ?
