Just wanted to report in I made it to the 200,000 mile club with the X. Now I have my eyes set on 300,000. I think she can do it!

That's very encouraging. I'm up over 130,000 and plan to keep it for a long time to come.

So far I really haven't done much other than normal maintinence. Brakes, spark plugs, I have AFE filter. I run Royal Purple oil in motor and tranny. I am still on original water pump. I have to replace my front wheel bearings soon. Replaced the alternator around 125,000. Oh here is one thing I never take it to the BMW dealer ,so I dont see all the nice new car and want one. Thanks to X5World I do most all the work on my car....and I am not a mechanic. Hats off to the site!

My one piece of advice is drive your X5 like it is truely the Ultimate Driving Machine. There isn't one day of driving that I don't hit 100mph. And every month I make sure that the governor still works. It stops me at 135.

Another firm believer that a good hard step on the gas pedal will keep that puppy moving for a long time to come. I clean out my injectors everyday. LOL

That is great to hear. My first BMW was the 540i. I got the X a year ago and I can truly say that there in nothing like a X5.
