Question I might have a problem

HI everyone, I think i might have a problem with the front passenger side speaker.

I was sitting in the passenger seat with my dad driving the X and i could here a cracking type of noise when we would go over bumps or turn. Also sometimes the front right side speaker would stop working. Then in a second or two it would come back. Could it be loose connection or soemthing?

Thanks for any help.

Definately sounds like a loose connection. First place to check is the connections in the door. Search for "door removal" to do it yourself. If not the door, check "online WDS" for connections all the way back to the radio. Good luck

PS, nice X5!

That's the speaker which was blown in my 2001 when I bougth it - anyone else have this? - this reafirms the general belief that the sound system in BMW vehicles could definitely use an upgrade

The system in my X5 doesn't even come close to the one i had in my old 97 Accord SE. That one sounded so much better! I just took my car in for front right speaker replacemnet. If that doesn't work.. BSW speakers.

I don't think you might have a problem... I think you DO have a problem.
good luck.

Thanks for the help guys. Ill try what Tomaz said. Or maybe just take it to a dealer.

I also think the sound system in BMW isn't very great. Could use upgrades..
