Edit: Dealer is doing a Goodwill (warranty ended 3 month ago, but has 45,900 miles). Replacing...
Keep us updated if the double joint part fix the clunking problem. Thanks.

Hey man, I noticed you've been having this noise for a while now. Did it become louder? If you ask someone to move the wheel while you looking under the hood you'll be able to tell if that's the same thing as I have. It's right there at the joint, you can even put your hand on it and feel it. Dealer wanted to charge me for an hour of labor for figuring out what's wrong.

i looked it up at RealOEM.com and i think we have the same problem.

next move for me is to bring my X to the dealer, and tell them about the DOUBLE JOINT....

I just took my car in today, should be done tomorrow they said. But I think I had a different noise. I didn't turn my wheel all the way to the left and then back to the right. I was just doing left right, left right. Like half inch each side. Even with car off. The noise was coming from that double joint.
