Is wheel alignment needed???
Hello to all my fellow X5worlders. I changed the front struts on my 01 X5 4.4 yesterday and wanted to know if a wheel alignment is needed. I asked the mechanic who performed the work but he said it wasn't necessary. I have always been under the impression that any time the front end is disturbed you always should have it realigned. What do you guys think?

Probably a good idea to check alignment if your concerned - if it's needed and not done you'll wear those tires unevenly. Does the car pull to left or right if you let go of the wheel when driving?

steering wheel is a little off center but it was that way before strut replacement. I have the style 87 20" rims staggered setup and have gotten at least 3 alignments in 2 years and it's never been dead on straight. I figured it's one of the downsides to the 20's(never had that problem with the 18's).
