Does warranty cover cracking wood trim?

My X5 is at the dealer for a couple of issues- nav screen changes colors by itself, driver's seat belt doesn't retract and others- so good time to bring this up. I'm trying to figure out if the wood trim around the shifter is covered under the original 4/50 warranty. It's cracked in 2 places after the cold weather this past winter. And it's an expensive piece, over $700. Anybody know?

Trim pieces under warranty is usually a dealer's call. So your chances are good if you have a good relationship with your dealer. It never hurts to ask.

It should be covered. Trim pieces should not be cracking under weather conditions.

Yes it is covered, I've had multiple pieces replaced. Never questioned at all.
