Nokia Bluetooth connection

I have just had Vodafone attempt to install a Nokia CK15-W bluetooth into my 2001 4.4i. Without looking at the radio theytell me that they cannot connect to the cars mute facility (This is standard factory fit 16:9 with Nav/cd etc).

Can they connect to the back of the radio (under the spare wheel)?

They had a sack of different BMW radio connectors/harness's but left without looking under the spare wheel.

SO right now I can't get a working in car phone either the V50 or bluetooth.

Fed Up....

Bruce

Nokia CK15-W is a bluetooth car kit

Hi

The Nokia CK15-W is a bluetooth car kit with it's own display unit. It does allow a hardwire connection to the cars radio mute (assuming your car/radio supports this). This is normally achieved by plugging a T piece into the car radio wiring harness.

Because they could not locate the harness on my car the tech guy gave up on that. He installed the kit (which works) but becaue of the above does not play through the cars speakers or mute the radio.

Hope this helps.

Bruce
