Wheel speed sensor change

Hey guys, just about to change a wheel speed sensor. I was told that the sensor needs to be taken to the dealer to be codded after the install. Is that correct, or is it just install wipe the code and drive?

Thanks

Andrew

Did you ever get the answer to your question? I'm planning to this myself soon. After you replaced the sensor was everything ok? or did you need to have the sensor recoded too?

Wheel speed sensors are just pulse sensors. I haven't heard of recoding them but I may be wrong.

I was thinking the same thing, it should be nothing more than just plug and play, but i'm glad you confirmed it! Thanks!

Ya I have swaped three of them now. And all is good, just drive for a bit and the light goes out.
