turn off the PDC

I have a 2004 4.4 X5 and I would like to know if there is an way to permanently turn off the PDC?

I could pull the connector to the sensors, but I think that throws a fault code. Any other suggestions?

Thanks - RJ

I slienced the chime for the key in the ignition, lights on, etc, which also silenced the front PDC warning. You could also disable the rear chime. I actually inserted a small switch to the front chime so if I ever want to turn it back on I can.
