stock BMW Angel Eye Plug

Can anybody help me out with this one!?! My g/f f'ed up the front of my X the other day. The car is at the body shop and needs new head lights. I had aftermarket A.E.'s installed but the shop wont installed aftermarket A.E.'s so i want them to find a set of lights with OEM AE's. They are saying that the whole electrical plug is different, and the ballest is totally different , and i believe that is not correct. If i remember right there is a seperate plug for the AE (coming from a seperate AE ballest) and all the other plugs and ballests for the rest of the lights are the same. Can anybody confirm this. Pictures would rock! [email protected] is my e-mail! Also if somebody has a set of factory headlights they want to sell i would buy them up! Ballests would be a plus. 01 4.4i

01. then you have an seperate plug and ballas for AE,and the guy at the shop is right, its totally different electrical system. All you need id take a look at the AE ballas and light bulb and buy new light bulb to replace it.
(remember you have to open up the head light to install new AE ring)

well for the plugs it maybe diffrerent from the brand that you had.( for the new buld /ring I mean is your AE ring still good or it tatolly toasted with your head light? if it still good then you dont need new one, just buy new head lght and swap it)

You will not be able to get stock AE's for an 01.........unless you find some XENON upgrade type that came in an 01' or 02'.....Then you have to do a headlight bake and then open them bad boys up, gut them out and install all the goods.....................it would be so much more easy if you got the customangeleyes.com set up or the projector 53's .......you would just then need to make some minor wiring adjustments so everything would fit and get some resisitors to cancel any errors. That is common when you go from halogen to xenon and Angel eye upgrade....

If they are only going to get you oem...you must find the xenon upgrade that came in the 01' or 02' sport.......Find Zerochief here on the board and look at what he did, that is what you will have to do.....

I hope this helps!
