Smile Noise from engine using heavy acceleration

sometimes i hear a noise coming from the engine when i accelerate above say 2.5RPM's....usually within 20minutes of starting the car.

It kinda sounds like a timing belt or the sound a car would make when doing a burnout......(screahing kinda noise), it goes if ease of the throttle).

not to sound stupid but i believe (correct me if im wrong) but the car has a metal chain and not a rubber timing belt.

if your car is a V8 it could be the cooling fan coupling sticking on

thought id let ppl know what happened when i went down to the dealers....
plus incase somebody has a similar problems and searches they can see my answer

well basically the noise was due to an issue with the turbo, not the turbo itself but a component of it, like a fan or something...they showed me a diagram of it ...cos they didnt know the word for it in english (im in the czech republic)...

Costs are expected around £400 to replace it (includes labour etc).

Also got the hand brake fixed, it was "loose" ...which meant that the weight of the car was riding mostly on the transmission being in park and not on the handbrake...which was why sometimes it would be difficult to take the car out from park and into Drive etc..

Also got my daytime running lights thing fixed!
