Has anyone swapped their multifunction part from sport wheel to m3 wheel?

So i have my Alcantara wheel but as many of you know, it didnt come with the multi function piece that has cruise control/volume.

My questions is can that part be swapped out from from an existing x5 sport wheel. (In my case im just buying the part.)

I know breytonx5 has performed this but i just want some more info on the mod and if there is any wiring that might be different.
Thanks

the multi function piece that came with the sport streering wheel is direct swap to your new wheel,no diff. in wiring.

(the only different is the finish in leather and Alcantara look)
