I figured I may need new shocks. But is it the wooshing noise that is abnormal? Also should I just replace shocks, or should I also replace springs at the same time? Thanks.

88k miles and haven't had any work done at all on the suspension. Still have the original shocks on it.

Original shocks are usually worn out by this time and your symptoms sound like the shocks are the problem.
