I do not have the Pro Dry....regardless of what you read about the oiled version you should not change/reoil until 30k is on the filter. This comes directly from Michael at AFE.
http://www.xoutpost.com/x5-e53-forum/...ve-answer.html Also..I have mine running in conjunction with the xpipe and supersprint exhaust Mod.. http://www.xoutpost.com/x5-e53-forum/...lackberry.html I guess it can't hurt to go with the pro dry..I just have not heard or seen it yet. RR

mrbmwx5, do you know the model number of your K&N filter? I agree I like K&N better. I've had K&N filter for my Honda Passport and it performed great. Maybe I'm imagining it, but the AFE filter seems to get dirty very quickly. I've gone the 30k miles as directed before cleaning it/re-oiling. I'm curious if the dry version is any better or is it just for convenience.
