Self Leveling Suspension Inactive

Hi guys! This message appeared earlier when I started the car and I never have this message before. I turned off the car and started again but the message did not appear anymore. What could be the reason for this? Anybody have this experience before? Thanks bros!

You have the 4.4 or 3.0 ..? and what year ...If you have the 4.4 then your rear should be air ride...'02 and up all wheels are on air. On the 3.0s its only if you have the sport package... you will find help here....there are plenty of users that have much more experience and can help you out.
Also use the search

Other X5 owners have had the same message a couple of times...if it went away then you should be ok. Usually from what I hear is a sensor going bad...

Try looking at your car..see maybe its lower or higher on one side...

Hope everything will turn out ok

If the message is gone now and doesn't come back on, I wouldn't worry about it. Just leave it be. There is a self test timer that triggers the message once in a while, and if it goes away without returning, it shouldn't be a problem.

Otherwise it could also be a sensor or leaking air shock, but unless that vehicle is sitting funny or the message comes back, I wouldn't fret.

My X is 3.0 2006 model with sport package and with ride height adjustment. I hope it is nothing serious, the message didn't show up again after that first instance.
