I bought those, sorry i dont have a cam right now or i show you. They seem to look real and the box was labeled BMW. I can tell you right now to choose a good muffler shop to weld them in because mine didnt turn out exactly how i wanted but decent enough.

Does anyone have a pic of the stock 4.8 tips not installed so i can see the difference if there is any?

I bought the same ones as well. It's definitely the real deal. Very nice and good seller. The welding is pretty much just making sure you pay close attention to what they are doing while they weld it. They are going to have to cut your pipes too. So make sure they "measure twice, and cut once" type thing. You want it sticking out to your liking and a distance from the bumper surroundings. 2 fingers I guess? My shop did a pretty good job, but a bit less room at the top of the tips (just for cleaning etc) than i would have wanted.

Hey Rasta,
Thanks for the reconfirm of this guy's product...Did you do the Pep Boys "Y-pipes" as well, or if not, where'd ya get yours? Can't seem to find the link/post with the drawing rec's about where to cut, both the existing pipe, and the Y Pipe... it was a GREAT drawing/illustration... like a dummy, I didn't save it!
~ Any other things/experiences ta look out for doing th' install?

I didn't do the Y pipes.. didn't even think about it. . what benefits of doing it? sound?thinking i might want a growl.. lol

sorry i cant recall where that is either.. i remember seeing it too though. As far as the install, it's really just a matter of the installer.. good luck!!

The "Y Pipes" are necessary to weld the 4.6 tips to my existing 3.0 exhaust properly...tips are WAYYY to wide to just weld to existing pipe... don't know if that size discrepancy exists with a 4.4 like yours... not a question of growl (were you thinkin' I was referrin' to X pipes?!)
Thanks for the help tho !!
