Air Bag in the rear left door?

Hi everybody,

I am wondering if someone can share his knowledge in here. I recently find out that my airbag in rear left door was disconnected on my BMW X5 4.4 liter, 2001 year. Of course, I decided to connect it back. As a result, red airbag indication lapm came on on dashboard. The airbag itself looks like brand new. No visible damage can be identified. I disconected airbag and reseted airbad faulty indication using my friend's tool. The light doesn not come back anymore. I'd like to find out what is the problem can be in here. I found a faulty code which is #49. I don't really know what it is. The airbag looks ok to me. I don't know how to deal with it other than going to dealship and be ready to through away money.

Any adivice on how to fix it is highly appreciated.
Thanks.

You probably have to go to the dealer to reprogram the cpu. I had my rear disconnected cause i had a infant seat in the back. took an hour and 100$.
