Knurled AC Control Wheel

Hello Folks,

I'm semi new on the board and also to the X5 family. I purchased my first X5 back in February.

I have a question. Ever since I purchased my vehicle I noticed that the Knurled Wheel used to control the AC/Heater cannot turn all the way down to display the 3 blue dots in the middle. It can however turn all the up and display the 3 red ones for the heater. I'm not sure if it's the way it's supposed to be or not.. I've had several e46's in the past and I do believe the wheel is supposed to go all the down and display the 3 dots in the middle. I've attached some pics so you can get an idea of how far it goes down.
