Water pump

I think they all generally go OEM. The newer OEM part replace the propeller, which was the problem in earlier OEM pumps.

What year x5's got the plastic impellers? I am thinking of replacing mine prior to my drive down to orlando.

I have 147K miles on my X5 now but still have the original water pump (knock on wood
 ). Do you think I should replace the pump as a precaution measure since I plan to keep this X5 for probably a couple years more? ThanksQuote:

i'd say go ahead and replace it now before something else happens. You can check out autohausaz.com. That is where most BMW owners shop for OEM and non-OEM parts.
