Considering purchasing an 03 X5 4.4 sport

The one I'm considering has 35,000 miles and the dealer will take $39,500 for it. It appears to be in perfect shape. It's metallic black with a gray leather interior w/ a burlwood trim.

Is this a good price and is there anything I should be worried about in buying?

Thanking everyone in advance.

Does the car have NAV? All dealers value used cars using Galves. http://www.galves.com/ They do not use KBB or Edmunds or NADA. Get a day membership to Galves and check the value of the car you are planning to buy. You will get an idea what the dealer rates it at and the room you have to negotiate.

It doesn't have nav but appears to have everything else. Unfortunately I don't have the spec sheet, only the suv (the dealer let me take it home for awhile to decide).

seems like a fair deal. Especially if it's CPO. Have you check the vin #?

One comment is the grey is reported to be tough to keep clean. It's a nice contrast, though. Nice looking X5

Yes the gray sucks to keep clean. Hope you dont have any pets to haul around!

I bought mine in january of this year with only 30,000kms on it cpo'd fully loaded paid 45k cnd funds!!

I'd deal with the guy cause: no nav, no Alu RB, looks like it has the sport pack ( or maybe just the wheels)

EDIT: sorry it has the sport pack (clear lenses)

Other than that it looks very clean!

I had gray and the only problem I had was if dirt got ground into the leather it would look dirty.. But it wasn't too bad. I prefer it to the black I have in the 330. Keeping the back seat clean was a pain, because our pal Ilya would purposely spill anything and everything he had with him...

Grey is a tougher interior color to sell.
